After a little very light rain on Saturday and Sunday, the sun came back out on Monday and today we have achieved the perfect ripeness of the Sangiovese grapes (see the photo above). And so the 2008 Sangiovese harvest has begun!
We are expecting this harvest to make for a great expression of Brunello di Montalcino. Overall, we experienced very “classic” weather, with cool temperatures in the evening during the summer (thanks in part to the altitude of our vineyards).
